For my internship at Makerpoint I had to design and make a "printer room" in Blender and eventually place it in a VR-program.
I made a handful of 3D-printers and aftercare systems, which would be placed in this room, or would be stored for later projects.
to make sure everything would work in VR, I had to keep the poly count low, and therefore had to make sure the models didn't become too complicated.
